🎉 No Tardy Party Celebration! 🎉
Today we celebrated students who had fewer than 5 tardies to class since November 12th! 🏫 Those students enjoyed a fun Rock/Paper/Scissors Bead Competition and some delicious ice cream! 🍦
💪 Only 34 students (12%) were ineligible this time — that means 78% of our students are showing up on time and doing what’s right!
👏 Keep it up, everyone, and let’s aim for 100% next time!
A huge congratulations to our winner, Adam (8th Grader), who won all the beads from our competition! 🏆

🎉 ¡Celebración de la Fiesta Sin Tardanzas! 🎉

Miss Finley's 7th grade classes dove straight into learning all the things regarding circles! She is so proud of her students during this activity! 🧠📐 They were tasked with completing a scavenger hunt which consisted of finding area, circumference, diameter, and radius of different circles. Students were fully engaged during the scavenger hunt—working independently, problem-solving, properly utilizing formulas, and explaining their thinking with confidence. We love seeing math come alive through hands-on learning in the classroom!

In Mrs. Wright’s 8th grade Science class, students have been learning how forces can act at a distance. Yesterday, they explored how electric currents can flow in one direction—and then switch directions—to make LED lights change colors. A bright example of science in action!

🔥 Middle School PE Spotlight! 🔥
Coach Evans and Coach May had our students hard at work today—mastering the A Position, problem-solving the just-right stance to support their bodies safely, and discovering just how helpful (and sneaky!) medicine balls can be in building strength.
There were definitely some laughs when students realized those medicine balls don’t just drop… they bounce—and sometimes bounce back! 🤣 Quick feet, quick thinking, and lots of movement were required today!
Proud of our young athletes for staying focused, flexible, and full of energy!

🔥 ¡Destacado de Educación Física en la Escuela Intermedia! 🔥

Students in Ms. Cullen's STEM class took on an exciting engineering challenge! They designed and built structures with two goals: hold the most weight and reach the tallest height.
Creativity was off the charts as students tested their designs, learned from each experiment, and celebrated their successes. Amazing problem-solving and teamwork on display!

🔥 It may be cold outside, but it’s HOT in 7th grade science! 🔥
Ms. Cullen’s scientists are hard at work designing their very own flameless heaters as part of an engineering challenge. Student teams are sketching, planning, and preparing their prototypes—ready to build next week! The creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving happening in this room is incredible. Way to go, 7th grade! 🔬✨

🌟 Classroom Spotlight: Ms. Mathews’ 6th Grade Language Arts! 🌟
Today our sixth graders dove deep into The Speckled Band by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle—Sherlock Holmes himself would be proud! 🕵️♂️📚
After reading, students used text evidence to digitally place furniture and key items exactly where they belonged in the story’s setting. Then, they annotated their choices by marking the exact quotes that supported each placement.
This activity brought reading, critical thinking, and investigation skills together—and our students were engaged, focused, and having so much fun learning alongside the great Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
We love seeing students stretch their minds and bring literature to life! 💡✨
