Each year Art Educators of Iowa and the Iowa Arts Council host a juried show to celebrate Youth Art Month. Youth Art Month is celebrated nationally during the month of March to highlight the importance of art and arts education programs across the country. Each member of AEI can select ten artworks to represent their school at the judging.
An artwork from each student on our team was sent to state. Judging took place in January and five students from Clarke had work accepted into the 2024 Youth Art Month Show. Alicia Castillo (11), Rachel Jaurigue (11), and Mariana Cisneros-Lopez (8) will have their artwork on display with over 100 other pieces of student work from across Iowa. Johanna Carrera Regalado (12) and Angel Cisneros Ambriz (12) had the additional honor of being selected for the Iowa Governor's show.
The Youth Art Month show will be on display at Jordan Creek Mall (top level near Finish Line and Von Maur) from Feb 25th until March 23rd.
A group of best in show selections is on display in the governor's offices before moving to the mall. Angel and Johanna will attend a capitol tour and meet and greet with Gov. Reynolds.

Cada año, Los Educadores de Arte de Iowa y el Concejo de Artes de Iowa organizan un espectáculo con jurado para celebrar el Mes del Arte Juvenil. El Mes del Arte Juvenil se celebra a nivel nacional durante el mes de marzo para resaltar la importancia del arte y los programas de educación artística en todo el país. Cada miembro de la AEI puede seleccionar diez obras de arte para representar a su escuela en el jurado.
Se envió al estado una obra de arte de cada estudiante de nuestro equipo. La evaluación se llevó a cabo en enero y se aceptaron trabajos de cinco estudiantes de Clarke en la Exposición del Mes del Arte Juvenil del 2024. Alicia Castillo (11), Rachel Jaurigue (11) y Mariana Cisneros-López (8) exhibirán sus obras de arte junto con más de 100 trabajos de estudiantes de todo Iowa. Johanna Carrera Regalado (12) y Angel Cisneros Ambriz (12) tuvieron el honor adicional de ser seleccionados para el show del Gobernador de Iowa.
La muestra del Mes del Arte Juvenil se exhibirá en Jordan Creek Mall (nivel superior cerca de Finish Line y Von Maur) desde el 25 de febrero hasta el 23 de marzo.
Un grupo de selecciones de los mejores espectáculos se exhibe en las oficinas del gobernador antes de trasladarse al centro comercial. Angel y Johanna asistirán a una gira por el capitolio y se reunirán y saludarán a la gobernadora Reynolds.
