ACADEMIC PROGRESS

The purpose/mission of the Clarke Learning Center is to provide students with the opportunity to earn their high school diploma in a non-traditional setting. The program is designed to allow students to focus on one class at a time, three hours per day, until that one class is completed. The minimum expectation is that students should complete 20% of a class/credit per day. Completing 20% of one class/credit per day means the student would complete one class/credit per week (most classes are worth one credit toward graduation).

ATTENDANCE

Students are required to attend class for 3 continuous hours each day, either in the morning session or the afternoon session. Students are responsible for contacting the teacher regarding absences. All notes verifying the reason for an absence will be turned in to the HS Office. Determination of excused vs unexcused absences will be determined by the HS Principal. Excessive absences will result in suspension and/or removal from this program. Your attendance and your success in this class are directly related.

SUCCESS IS A CHOICE:

Your mission is to graduate. The CLC gives you the opportunity to earn credits towards graduation. It is 100% up to you to do the work. The number one thing, really the only thing, to keep you motivated and moving forward, is your commitment to graduate. It has to be your decision. Once it becomes your decision everything will begin to fall into place. You will only be limited by your own self imposed boundaries and hurdles.
